Create Your own Knowledge Base for Business and Personal Use.

I have added the concept of the Knowledge Base into my ever growing and evolving personal development tool-kit. As you know, I have incorporated my Remote Influencing (RI) practices into my business and personal life. I am using the Knowledge Base idea with my Remote Influencing work and vice versa.

What is a Knowledge Base?

A knowledge base is a special kind of database for knowledge management. A knowledge base provides a means for information to be collected, organized, shared, searched and utilized.

I view my home as my knowledge base. This is where I conduct my independent research, learning and training. I store the information that I find on my pc's, flash drives, cd's, dvd's, external hard drives and any other device or devices as needed. I add information to these devices on a continual basis. My knowledge base is growing, evolving, changing over the course of time. My Knowledge Base is not dogmatic in nature and it is not set in stone. My knowledge base is organic in essence. However, I have also come to realize that my knowledge base can and will extend into external areas such as life and living itself, libraries, schools, colleges, the web and any and all areas as deemed necessary.

I create folders for specific areas and I manage these folders to make sure they are in order. I have also created a folder for my ideas. I will elaborate. I document any new and uniqe ideas, insights I may have. I place these documents into the 'my ideas' folder. These ideas share my intrinsic knowledge. I regularly review this folder for inspiration etc. New ideas can come to life through the blending of several ideas. I share the knowledge from my knowledge base so as to help clients, friends, family etc.

I hope this information has proved helpful to you. Creating ones own knowledge base can be highly rewarding and beneficial for oneself and for others. Knowledge is power and knowledge should be shared with society.
